Johanna Wilson, PA-C

Johanna Wilson is a board-certified physician assistant with a background in exercise science and internal medicine. She joined Bianco Primary Care in 2024 and is dedicated to building trusting, long-term relationships with her patients. She is known for her attentive, compassionate approach and her commitment to helping patients feel understood, supported, and truly cared for.

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

  • Early on, Johanna knew she wanted a career in healthcare because she has always been driven to help people and to be the kind of provider patients feel they can truly trust with their care.

Impactful experiences with physician assistants while growing up, combined with her involvement in the Physician Assistant (PA) Club at the University of Georgia, confirmed that the PA profession was the perfect fit for her. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Georgia and later completed her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Mercer University. Between undergraduate studies and PA school, she gained valuable hands-on experience working as an emergency medical technician and as a medical assistant in dermatology—roles that further solidified her passion for patient-centered care.

  • Johanna’s care philosophy is rooted in empathy, communication, and partnership. She believes that meaningful care begins with listening, and she works to make patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and experiences. She strives to deliver personalized, thoughtful guidance that helps patients navigate both everyday health questions and more challenging moments.

Patients often describe her as compassionate, thorough, and easy to talk to, especially during conversations about new diagnoses, medication changes, or periods of stress. She values helping patients understand their options and supporting them in making informed decisions that align with their long-term health goals.

  • Johanna welcomes conversations about mental health and enjoys helping patients explore lifestyle strategies that support emotional and physical well-being.

  • Outside of work, Johanna spends time with her husband, friends, and family. She enjoys strength training, being on the water, and playing pickleball. Patients are often surprised to learn that she is originally from England before moving to Georgia at a young age.

  • Physician assistants (PAs) are licensed healthcare professionals who practice medicine in collaboration with physicians, delivering high-quality primary care with a high degree of autonomy.

They independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat a full spectrum of conditions—ranging from acute illnesses and injuries to chronic diseases—and manage long-term medications, preventive care, and overall wellness.

  • At Bianco Primary Care, Johanna Wilson, PA-C, is your primary clinician for the majority of visits, delivering comprehensive, personalized care with full diagnostic and treatment authority.

She practices in close collaboration with and under the supervision of Dr. Bianco, ensuring seamless coordination of your care. You’re always welcome to see Dr. Bianco directly whenever you prefer—two dedicated providers, one shared commitment to your health.
